| Mrs Maro Pouyourou is from Famagusta.
She studied porcelain painting, in Geneva and at Strasbourg
from 1978 until 1987, whilst her husband was Ambassador of Cyprus
at the United Nations and at the European Council. |
| Mrs Maro Pouyourou was a student
of Monique Roche in Geneva, and later, whilst in Strasbourg,
she became a student of Mrs Marcoton and Jean Lober. |
| Her work of porcelain as well as
her paintings were exhibited in Baden-Baden, Geneva, Strasbourg,
as well as in other European cities. |
| Her porcelain paintings have been
widely acclaimed as "an authentic form of art that characterizes
fragility, beauty and aesthetic perfection", whereas her
paintings of flowers have been described as "full of light,
and representative of what is beautiful and serene". |
